As
part of some of the training courses we provide,
we use optical accoustical Brainwave training
devices to rapidly teach you how to access the
correct mental states for the task at hand.
Audio Visual entrainment, or A.V.E., is a very
powerful and natural method of adjusting and
tuning your mental levels. It is an integral
part of our Brainwave
Conditioning System™.
-
The clearing of thoughts from the mind and
physical relaxation, similar to what a Zen
meditatior would experience.
-
The blood flow within the brain can increase
by up to 28% (Fox and Reichle 1985).
Many cognitive and emotional disorders involves
areas of the brain low in blood flow.
- The concept of "entrainment" is
about altering brainwave activity. It is possible
to normalise brainwave activity to a healthier
pattern and to assist in training an indiviual
to control their brainwave activity for peak
mental performance.
Audio-Visual
Entrainment is a technique used to guide your
brainwaves to a different state. This is done
by wearing eye-glasses and headphones which
emit a gentle and regular rhythm of pulsating
light and sound (Audio-Visual). Our brainwaves
naturally work at particular rhythms depending
on our state of mind. The AVE mimics and then
guides the brainwaves to a different state.
This is called the "Frequency Following
Response". In the hand of an experienced
trainer, your brainwaves are first measured
and assessed, then an appropriate AVE session
is recommended depending on your needs and objectives.
For
example, someone with stress problems may have
consistently over-active brainwaves. They find
it very hard to switch off and relax and they
feel stuck in this stressed state. The AVE can
guide them out of this state to a more relaxed
mental level. Another example could be someone
with Attention Deficit Disorder or ADD. A typical
brainwave pattern for someone with ADD would
be that they are generating too much Theta.
AVE can be used to increase their brainwave
levels to being more alert. You can read more
about the specific brainwaves in the "EEG
Measurements" section.
As
well as to help guide you to have full mobility
of brainwaves, the AVE is also used to 'balance'
your brainwaves. The EEG assessment you have
may highlight an imbalance between the left
and right hemispheres of your brain. This can
often be the root cause of problems. We use
a protocol uniquely developed by LSI to help
correct this imbalance.
Some
of the courses we offer provide you with your
own AVE device for home-training (Brain Buddy). This is programmed uniquely
to your brainwave patterns. It is portable so
can be taken with you - even on holiday, to
relax before an exam, a meeting or perhaps a
major sporting competition. This device will
assist you in training yourself to maintain
a level of peak mental fitness after your course.
During
your training course you will use an AVE system
which we have developed and which is very powerful
for creating change. This is used under the
supervision of your trainer.
We
believe that to get maximum benefit from AVE
training you need to have an EEG assessment
first. This is all part of the Brainwave
Conditioning System™. After
this assessment you will be provided with an
AVE device programmed with sessions recommended
for your personal use. You may purchase an AVE
device from us without attending a training
course or an assessment session. However, the
device will not be programmed with the sessions
to best suit your brainwave patterns. It will
still have benefit for you, albeit more limited,
general and perhaps for entertainment in application.
We strongly recommend you attend a
session with the Brainwave Conditioning
System™ to ensure maximum
benefit.
